WEB3 RESEARCH / EDITORIAL GUIDE

A framework for exploring a crypto project

Start by understanding the product, the documentation and the limits of what is known.

01

Identify the actual product

Describe what the project does without relying on its token price or marketing language. Find its official documentation and distinguish current features from roadmap plans.

02

Check the evidence

Look for published code, audits and documentation where relevant. Read what any audit covers and its date; the existence of an audit alone does not establish safety.

03

Understand the dependencies

Note the network, custodial services, bridges or contracts that the application depends on. Each dependency adds questions to your research.

04

Keep unknowns visible

Write down unanswered questions and avoid filling gaps with assumptions. A project introduction is a starting point, not a guarantee of value or future performance.

Use this guide to organize your research. It is not personalized financial advice or a review of a particular provider.
